Ikelite was the first to announce its housing for the new Nikon Z7 full-frame mirrorless camera, just over a month ago. But it turned out that they were so quick to market that, at the time, they weren’t able to confirm compatibility with the Z7’s lower-resolution, video-centric little brother, the Z6. Now they have.
As well as fitting both the Z6 and Z7, Ikelite’s 200DL underwater housing supports the new Z-mount lenses and F-mount lenses via Nikon’s new FTZ adapter—which essentially just adds the extra required distance between F-mount lens and the new sensors.
In addition, Ikelite’s DL1 DS Link TTL Converter is fully compatible with both the Z6 and Z7, making available Ikelite’s highly regarded TTL strobe exposure with compatible DS-series strobes. Ikelite’s Nikon TTL has the added advantage of offering the ability to switch between TTL and manual at the touch of a button.
The housing retails for $1,695 and is shipping now, as is the TTL converter, which is priced at $375.
