Ikelite Announces Tray and Handles for Paralenz Camera
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, May 28, 2020 @ 08:30 AM (EST)

If you’ve been having fun with your Paralenz camera but have struggled to get rock solid footage out of the handheld action cam, then Ikelite’s latest product might be the perfect solution for you: a steady tray with pistol grip and dual handles.

The anodized aluminum tray has a V-wing profile that “balances the system front to back and positions the camera lens forward of the handles to reduce the possibility of hands and other objects accidentally floating into the frame.” Ikelite’s signature quick-release handles give you both a satisfying grip plus mounting points for attaching lighting accessories. There’s also a mounting point for the supplied pistol grip, which Ikelite says is “perfect for working at the surface of the water and in-motion, action video.”

The accessory can be used with the Paralenz Dive Camera+ and the forthcoming Paralenz Vaquita (promised in summer 2020), as well as the GoPro HERO series. The Steady Tray for Paralenz Kit with Handles (plus pistol grip and camera mount) costs $150. Alternatively, if you just want the Steady Tray to adorn as you see fit, you can purchase this alone (with included camera mount) for $55.
