Ikelite Announces Housing for Nikon Coolpix S9100

By Joseph Tepper, April 19, 2011 @ 11:50 AM (EST)

Today, Ikelite announced their latest housing fitting the Nikon Coolpix S9100, which is now in production and available for pre-order.

The housing is manufactured from Ikelite’s standard polycarbonate materials and is depth rated to 200ft (60m). Two threaded mounts (12-24) on the bottom of the housing provide options for optional trays and other lighting accessories.

The compact housing -7x5x5.4 in- weighs in at a mere 2.8 lb., leaving the camera occupied system slightly negative in fresh water. Parts also included with the housing include a small tube of o-ring grease, flash diffusor, flash deflector and vinyl port cover. Optional accessories to compliment this 12.1 MP/1080p AVCHD video camera include a Pro-V8 video light, macro port adaptor, and wide-angle wet adaptor.

The housing is now in production and is expected to retail for $400. More information on the housing can be found on Ikelite’s website.
