
Hasselblad: 31MP Variant DSLR

The Hasselblad H3D - the world's first 48mm full-frame DSLR - initially shipped in two variants with resolutions of 22 or 39 megapixels. The new model sits almost exactly in the middle resolution-wise, with 31 megapixels from a 44mm x 33mm image sensor that's slightly smaller than those in the existing models. The addition of microlenses to the sensor design gives the H3D-31 a maximum ISO sensitivity of 800 - a full stop higher than the earlier models. The camera has a maximum capture rate of one image every 1.2 seconds (0.8 frames per second), just a little faster than the 0.7fps bursts the earlier models could yield...
