Getting into 3D? You will soon be able to take a professional level 3D video camera underwater with the Gates 3DAI housing. The housing protects the $21,000 Panasonic AG3DA1 built-to-order professional 3D video cam. More info on the press release below and an image of the prototype.

Gates Underwater Products announces the 3D housing for the Panasonic AG-3DA1 camcorder, the world's first professional, fully-integrated Full HD 3D camcorder that records to SD card media. The 3DA1 housing continues the Gates tradition of reliable mechanical controls, durable aluminum/stainless steel construction that is backed by a 2 year warranty. Designed for the broadcast 3D market, the 3DA1 housing is provisioned for the Convergent Design nano3D recorder for data rates up to 280 Mbps at 4:2:2 color.
Rental housings will be available in October, followed by production models in Q4. Pricing is not yet available.
