Fujifilm has released firmware update Ver.1.01 for its midrange X-T30 mirrorless camera, which aims to reduce the possibility of inadvertently hitting the Q button to access the “quick menu.” The company is addressing reports of the frequent accidental pressing of the button because of its placement directly under the thumb when gripping the camera.
The new firmware will make the button slower to react to being pressed, making it harder to accidentally open the Q.Menu. Fujifilm has promised an additional update in June that will allow you to reassign a different function to the Q button, as you would with an Fn button, or disable it completely.
