Sony has released a firmware update for their a9 pro-level mirrorless camera. Notably, Version 3.01 corrects a significant problem—"a condition where the camera may not operate properly after updating to firmware version 3.00.” If this applies to your camera, please note that you’ll have to reset your Fn custom settings after the update.
As well, the update adds new lens support and “functions for professionals.” Improvements come in the camera’s autofocus performance and flash control—presumably when using an off-camera flash. This specific firmware update applies only to the ILCE-9 camera.
