Fantasea Unveils First Housing for Nikon Coolpix P7100

By Joseph Tepper, September 6, 2011 @ 10:44 PM (EST)

Just weeks after the official release of Nikon’s Coolpix P7100, Fantasea has unveiled the specs for the camera’s first housing.

This new housing comes as a replacement for Fantasea’s FP7000 housing, both of which are affordable housing options for this popular luxury compact camera. The P71000 features an impressive focus time and shutter lag -.16 and .22 seconds, respectively- and also shoots 720P HD video, making it an appealing compact option for beginners and more advanced shooters alike.

Although few details have so far been released on the new FP7100, it is confirmed to have a depth rating of 200ft and “will feature easy-to-use, clearly labeled controls,” according to the company. For more information on this and other Fantasea products, you can visit the housing’s website.

The FP7100 is expected to ship at the beginning of 2012.
