Fantasea Announces LED Strobe Trigger and Battery Cradle
By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, August 14, 2019 @ 11:30 AM (EST)

Fantasea has announced the FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger and the NP-FW50 Battery Cradle C, which are specially designed for compatibility with the company’s vacuum-enabled housings for Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras (FA6500 V2, FA6500, FA6400, FA6000) and can also be used with suitable housings from other brands. Fantasea has discontinued the previous versions of the products (FA-1 LED Strobe Trigger, FA-2 LED Strobe Trigger and Battery Cradle Type A).

The FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger fires strobes in manual mode via fiber-optic cables and can be connected to any camera featuring a hot shoe. The trigger can be installed in any housing with sufficient space and offering a fiber-optic strobe connection. Unlike previous models, the FA-3 trigger is compatible with Fantasea’s mirrorless housings equipped with the company’s Hybrid Vacuum Safety System.

The new NP-FW50 Battery Cradle makes it possible for an additional NP-FW50 battery to be fitted inside a housing, provided there is sufficient space, and can be used with cameras equipped with a Micro USB port. The cradle is also compatible with Fantasea’s latest mirrorless housings.

Available from September 2019, the FA-3 LED Strobe Trigger and NP-FW50 Battery Cradle C are both priced at $239.95.
