We reported that DxO had declared bankruptcy roughly a month ago—with the addendum that the company promised to update its software by summer. DxO has kept this pact by releasing updated versions of its uber-popular Nik Collection plug-ins and Photolab software.
The Nik Collection update is the result of six months of engineering code improvements for bugs that impacted stability and performance. There aren’t any new features in this latest version, but it should now be fully compatible with the latest editions of Photoshop and Adobe Elements.
Version 1.2 of Photolab – the company’s Lightroom-esque competitor – adds a set of local adjustment settings for fine tuning images. As well, there’s support for recently released cameras included in the update.
There’s an early bird pricing on the Nik Collection of $49.99, which lasts through July 1st. After that, the price will increase to $69.99. You can download the Nik Collection here. Update your Photolab software by clicking here.
