DPG Underwater Photo & Video Expedition to Socorro, March 2009

By Jason Heller, August 8, 2008 @ 02:00 AM (EST)

EXPEDITION: SOCORRO 2009

This will be one of the select expeditions led by Jason Heller for DivePhotoGuide in 2009. Our other 2009 expedition to Indonesia sold out in one day, but there are still a few spots left to join us in Socorro. The dates are March 21 - 29.

The Revillagigedos Archipelago, more commonly called Socorro, is located in the eastern Pacific Ocean approximately 250 miles south of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, at the tip of the Baja peninsula,. These islands have been compared to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador or Cocos Island in Costa Rica because of the big animal encounters they provide. We have chartered the live aboard dive vessel the Solmar V who know these waters better than anyone and have pioneered the diving here. They have hosted many underwater photographers and film crews and have the knowledge to maximize our big animal experience.

We are seeking the best opportunities for giant Pacific Manta Rays, various shark species including schooling Hammerheads, Dolphins, dense schooling fish, Whale Sharks, large Tuna and Humpback Whales.

There are just a few spots left, so sign up today for our big animal expedition.
