DPG To Provide Live Coverage From Eilat Red Sea Competition
We've been covering the Eilat Red Sea competition since its inception four years ago. We've been invited to have an editor cover the event in the past, but timing never seemed to be on our side. This year that will all change.
DPG field editor and chronic competition winner, Keri Wilk, is heading out to Eilat to cover the event live for DivePhotoGuide. We will be covering daily events and explore Eilat both underwater and topside. We will have both photos and video from the scene.
For those of you who are still unfamiliar with this international event. The Eilat Red Sea competition used to be called Sandisk Red Sea. This year they have a new sponsor, Epson. There are two components to the event. One is an international "mail-in" competition, and the other is a live shootout in Eilat.
Eilat Red Sea - "World of Underwater images" competition combes the diving world with hi tech, photography, extreme sports, tourism, and conservation. The motivating spirit behind the competition is David Pilosof (Pilo), a veteran underwater photographer and creator of the renowned photo album, "Samantha". Pilo has participated in many underwater photography competitions himself, and shaped the genre of underwater fashion and nude photography.
Stay tuned for pre-event coverage on our homepage in a few days...
