
Divers Find U Boats Off Cornwall

Three sunken German U boats have been discovered by divers off Newquay in Cornwall. Historians believe the discovery of the badly damaged wartime vessels has uncovered a minefield operation which has remained secret for 60 years.
Historian Eric Grove said no U-boats had been recorded as missing in that area, however, extensive research revealed that the U325, U400 and U1021 had been sunk in a secret minefield laid after a U-commander's radio message was intercepted by British intelligence.
