Here's the challenge: The next time you happen to be in a swimming pool - or even your bathtub at home - stick your head underneath the water and see how long you can hold your breath. Better yet, see how far you can swim in terms of distance - underwater and on one breath. Sort of like you did when you were a kid on a scorching hot summer afternoon at the local swimming pool. But a bit of advice: you probably shouldn't try the latter if you're in your bathtub. Go ahead and try it. Try to outdo Cheyenne's Glen Garrett, who just so happens to be the Dynamic Apnea or freediving U.S. national record holder with his distance of 105 meters. In a 25-meter pool, that's approximately 41/4 laps...
