There is no way to overstate the spectacularness of the photography in Discovery Channel's dazzling 11-hour nature documentary "Planet Earth."
The first three hours premiere tonight at 8 p.m., then it will run two hours each Sunday through April 22, and the pictures are so stunning, you almost want to pause on every frame.
This documentary, produced by the BBC, was filmed in high definition over more than five years. It required 2,000 days of shooting in 204 locations, and all the effort shows. You wish, however, they put a little more time into the script...
