Nikon has released a firmware update for the hard-to-keep-it-on-the-shelves-it’s-so-hot D850 DSLR. Update version 1.01 addresses issues concerning cleaning the sensor and shooting with long exposures.
The firmware fixes a bug whereby users accessing “Clean Image Sensor” would be redirected to the Setup Menu, rather than My Menu, when accessed through the latter. As well, the update improves the problem of increased noise or “shadows with a greenish hue” when using noise reduction during long exposures.
D850 owners can update their firmware through the Nikon support page.
