Coolpix CCD Failures

It has come to our attention that certain electronic image components in the COOLPIX 3500, COOLPIX 4500, COOLPIX 5000 and COOLPIX 5400 cameras may, on rare occasions, fail. Failure is most likely to occur when the camera is used in extreme conditions, such as high temperatures and/or high humidity . Should you experience problems with your camera, please visit an authorised Nikon Service Centre to have it inspected.
