Chile's Waters Made Whale Sanctuary

Often times we focus on the negative sides of conservation-and very appropriately so. However, the fact that humpback whales have made a huge recovery is a great conservation success story. Another victory for whales happened yesterday when Chile declared their waters a whale sanctuary.
The law was unanimously passed by congress yesterday after it being strongly backed by the public. A great victory for whales.
