Canon announced that it will release a firmware upgrade to its Flagship EOS 1D Mark IV in late January. The firmware upgrade, version 1.0.6, will enhance the performance of auto-focus tracking for subjects that are receding or approaching at a low speed.
This could be useful for underwater photographers so keep an eye out for it. I will make another announcement when it's released. You can read Canon's statement here.
