Canon 5DS Promo Mugs Make Fun of Nikon’s “Small Sensor”

For Canon users, you’ll find this amusing. For Nikon lovers—probably less so.

In efforts to promote the ridiculous 50.6-megapixel EOS 5DS, Canon has produced an educational couple of coffee mugs. There’s a giant mug printed with “EOS 5DS” and a much smaller version with the word’s “I AM small” (an allusion to Nikon’s I AM campaign).

On the backs, the respective number of megapixels for each camera is also written: 50.6MP for the 5DS and a “puny” 36MP for the Nikon D800. Also of note, it appears that the mugs are actually to scale in reference to the differing megapixel count.

And just when you thought the megapixel war had ended, you get stabbed in the back with a coffee mug!
