
Big Shot - Compact Colossus

Despite the sophistication of today's auto-everything cameras, it is still the photographer who takes the picture. Nothing could demonstrate this fact more strongly than 43-year-old Nacho Gil's striking shot of two dolphins and a model gracefully silhouetted against the under-surface of the sea.
To the astonishment of the judges (including myself) who unanimously voted it the best print at the British Underwater Image Festival (see News, page 14) he took it with a compact camera...
