Good things come to those who wait, and depending on how you’re counting, the wait has been 17 years (since The Blue Planet aired on Discovery Channel in the US) or three months (since Blue Planet II debuted in the UK and Europe). But now Blue Planet II is finally arriving stateside—and the date to mark in your calendars is January 20. The groundbreaking series will be aired on BBC America, and with the help of their channel finder, you should be able to find out what the channel is, according to your local cable provider.
The seven-episode documentary series took four years to make and involved an impressive 125 trips around the world. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a proper BBC nature production without the great Sir David Attenborough lending his famous dulcet tones to the episodes.
