
Marine Bacteria to Help Sinusitis Sufferers

Sinusitis affects more than 10% of the adult population of Europe. It seems that an enzyme, called NucB, which previously was used to biologically scrub the hulls of ships may now be scrubbing the bacteria from inside the nasal passages of Sinusitis sufferers.
A new study shows that the bacterial extract may prevent the bacteria from creating a protective coating that makes them less susceptible to antibiotics and other treatments. To find out more, read the original article here.
