
ATP Announces 8GB CF, SDHC Cards

Just a touch over two weeks after Taiwanese company Pretec Electronics announced that it had set a record for the world's highest capacity in the Secure Digital format, the achievement has been equaled.
Sunnyvale, CA-based memory manufacturer ATP Electronics Inc. has today announced its own 8GB Secure Digital High Capacity card (alternately known as SDHC, or Secure Digital 2.0). Alongside the SDHC card announcement, ATP has also revealed a new 8GB CompactFlash card, although this is some way off the record of a 12GB CF card set by Pretec over two years ago. Pretec's card is an item that exists more as a technology flagship than a realistic product however, never having shipped in large volume or at an affordable price...
