Atomos has announced its new Shogun 7 monitor and recorder. The device, which is equipped with a 7-inch monitor, can record up to 5.7K ProRes RAW, up to 4K at 120fps, and up to 1080p at 240fps, as well as 10-bit 4:2:2 up to 4K at 60fps.
The monitor/recorder features Atomos’ new Dynamic AtomHDR technology, which yields a screen contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The company says the screen uses “advanced LED and LCD technologies which together offer deeper, better blacks than rival OLED screens, but with the much higher brightness and vivid color performance of top-end LCDs.” Atomos also claims the monitor can display 15+ stops of dynamic range.
Available in June, the Shogun 7 will retail for $1,500.
