Art Meets Science In The Arctic
By Matt J. Weiss, October 3, 2008 @ 02:00 AM (EST)
A expedition to Disko Bay on the coast go Greenland is going to observe climate change -- both artistically and scientifically. The scientific investigation will be the first of its kind in the area and hopes to provide information on the ongoing Arctic Geoscience program. Also accompanying the scientific team is a team of scientists including musicians, comedians, artists, poets and architects.
The goal of the expedition is to respond to climate change in a way that people can relate in a creative manner. As underwater photographers I think we can relate to that despite there not being any underwater photography on the project.
