Aquatica Announces HD Wave

By Joseph Tepper, July 21, 2011 @ 06:30 PM (EST)

Aquatica digital has announced their latest housing, and it isn’t for an SLR or micro four-thirds camera. Rather, they have dived back into the underwater video market with the release of the latest HD Wave digital video housing.

The HD Wave supports the new Sony HDR CX560/700 camcorders and is Aquatica’s lightest aluminum housing at 6 lbs. The aluminum constructed is framed between Aquatica’s “Stable-Wide” handles, designed for the perfect grip and control underwater.

The housing includes access to all essential camcorder function including full control over white balance- essential for videographers looking to get the most out of the HD ability. Additionally, the user will have a 30-degree viewing angle of the three inch playback screen without any obstruction.

The HD Wave housing is depth rated until 300ft and will retail for $2,595. More information can be found on the Aquatica website or from our official retail partner, Backscatter
