
An Underwater Film Success Story

IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that the highly acclaimed IMAX hit motion picture adventure Deep Sea 3D has reached another box office milestone, surpassing $30 million in total gross box office receipts since it premiered last March. Deep Sea 3D is Warner Bros. Pictures' second original IMAX 3D production, following the highly successful release of NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience, which has now grossed more than $23 million worldwide.
"The steady performance of Deep Sea 3D is a great example of how well original IMAX 3D films can resonate with audiences," said Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. "The film was recognized by the industry as well, when it won the Large Format Award at the Panda Awards during the 2006 Wildscreen Festival. We are thrilled with its success."...
