
Amputee Dolphin Swims Again

A dolphin who couldn't swim after having her tail amputated has been given a new lease of life after being fitted with an artificial fin.
The amputated tail of 36-year-old Fuji has been replaced thanks to the help of tyre technology from Bridgestone - a company more commonly associated with Formula one racing.
Fuji, who lives in a Japanese aquarium, is wearing the sponge rubber and carbon tail for two to three hours everyday, but her trainer is hoping an improved version can be worn for longer...
