Adobe has unveiled the latest versions of its entry-level photo and video editing software—Photoshop Elements 2020 and Premiere Elements 2020. The new apps add various features powered by Adobe Sensei AI technology, such as smart selection, skin smoothing, and colorization.
Photoshop Elements 2020 introduces photo effects Auto Creations, such as Black & White Selection, Depth of Field, Pattern Brush, and Painterly. You can also now automatically colorize black-and-white images, automatically smooth skin, automatically select subjects with a single click, and automatically remove unwanted objects from images.
Premiere Elements 2020, on the other hand, adds simplified noise reduction, and new Guided Edits to show you how to do specific video editing tasks, like transforming a vertical video clip (or photo) into a horizontal video. The update adds auto-tagging with Smart Tags for videos, just as with images in Photoshop Elements, as well as the ability to search videos for people using the face-matching capabilities of Sensei.
Full licenses of Photoshop Elements 2020 and Premiere Elements 2020 are priced at $100 each, and they are also available together as a bundle for $150. Upgrade prices for existing customers are $80 for each or $120 for the bundle.
