Dr. Sylvia A. Earle—ADEX Guest of Honor—addressing guests at the opening ceremony Friday
The 22nd annual Asian Dive Expo (ADEX) kicked off yesterday, April 7, at the Suntec Convention Center in Singapore. The expo is the longest-running dive expo in the Asia region. In 2016, the event attracted nearly 60,000 visitors, making the show the largest dive expo in Asia. The theme of this year's show is ''Confronting Climate Change."
The event is run by Asian Geographic and attracts scuba divers, snorkelers, freedivers, and ocean enthusiasts from around the region and world. Be sure to stop by and check out some of the talks by world-renowned artists, photographers, and conservationists. As it is such a large event, the organizers have made things user-friendly by creating an interactive app, which provides details on all of the best deals, exhibitors booths, and speakers—downloadable at Google Play or on the App Store.
The event wraps at 7pm on Sunday, April 9. If you do make it over to the show, please be sure to stop by the DPG booth (M23) and say hello!
