
Academy Of Sciences Previews Aquatic Display

It's not a land shark, but how about a chance to see a shark on land? The California Academy of Sciences today is offering a preview of a brand new exhibit of rare aquatic life from the depths of the Pacific.
The exhibit that will be unveiled is part of an agreement that the California Academy of Sciences has signed with a local group that is dedicated to preserving the coral reef off the Philippines.
The two story display at the California Academy is absolutely spectacular and it is based on the coral reefs of the Philippines. Scientists call coral reefs the rain forests of the ocean because the have so much sea life, including the black tip sharks which are going to be part of this exhibit in just a couple of weeks.
The coral reefs in the Philippines are the most diverse of any coral reefs in the entire world. The reefs not only support marine life, they also save human lives...
