In the whale-watching world in St Lucia, permit holder and researcher
Danie Bennett gives names to humpbacks with specific markings, so
scientists along the migratory route can keep track of resightings of
uniquely marked whales.
Now, a week after Environmental Affairs Minister Buyelwa Sonjica announced that the Big Five would become the Big Seven with whales and sharks added to the tourist attraction, Bennett's Advantage Tours' whale watching operation has spotted a humpback whale with what looks like a rhino horn.
The "horn" next to the dorsal fin is either a growth or a second dorsal fin - and the whale has now been dubbed the "rhino horn whale"
