Canon Releases S100 PowerShot SX40 HS - Digic V Processor is Here
Canon today announced two new PowerShots - the S100 and the SX40 HS. And the most eye catching part of the releases is that the both sport the long rumored Digic V processor.
The Digic V processor is said to increase speed and reduce noise, and should (will) be in the next round of dSLRS that should be coming soon.

The S100 is the successor to the popular S95, has a CMOS sensor instead of a CCD, a small bump from 10 Megapizels to 12 Megapixels, a lens that is 24mm-120mm (from 28-105mm), 8 FPS shooting and an upper ISO of 6,400. Other changes include GPS and full 1080P video at 24P.
All in all, many improvements to an al ready great little camera. Having shot the S95 a bit, and seeing the results that some friends and family have gotten with their S95, I am really looking forward to getting my hands on a S95.

The Power Shot SX40 sports a 24-840mm optical Zoom, ISO up to 3,200 and the DIGIC V. The megapizel count has dropped a bit and still no RAW though unfortunately.
Both cameras list for $429.99. The SX40 will be released late this month, while the S100 with be coming in early November. With this announcement, the the annou
