RAW

A RAW file contains the original unprocessed image data as it is captured by the digital sensor, with no interpretation. It is the most flexible format to shoot in because it allows for maximum processing and interpretation by image editing software. Camera manufacturers and third party software companies, such as Adobe, provide RAW converters to process RAW files.
