October 2011 Photo Contest

DPG is very proud to announce the winners of our October Monthly Photo Contest! The theme for last month was “Strange and Spooktacular” and the winner of the $150 cash prize is Luc Rooman.
Luc captured the judges’ votes with his creepy lighting of a simple subject, a green moray eel. The judges thought the mood of the photograph exemplified the “strange and spooktacular” theme.
Second place went to David Mocholi for his vampire-like image. Jackie Cambell took home third place for her screaming stargazer shot!
Again, a big thank you to our all-star team of judges, who help sift through hundreds of images each month- DPG editors Matt Weiss and Joseph Tepper, Keri Wilk, Jeff De Guzman, Steve De Neef, and Mark Fuller.
Thanks for all the tricks and treats and make sure to enter November’s contest- the theme is “Cold Water.” Brrrrrr.
