June 2018 Photo Contest

2nd Think Pink Photo Competition (Wide Angle)

DPG and Dive into the Pink are thrilled to announce the winners of the second Think Pink Photo Competition. Organized by Dive into the Pink and hosted by DPG, the contest invited shooters to submit their best images featuring the color pink in two categories—Macro and Wide Angle.

We had a fantastic response again this year, with almost 400 entries raising well over $3000 for breast cancer research and patient support. The quality of the entries was exceptionally high and the judging panel had a very tough time picking the winners. Eventually, however, the judges decided to award first place in the Wide Angle category to Eduardo Arribada’s superb diver among schooling fish. Eduardo bags a six-day Visayas Safari aboard MV Discovery Palawan, Philippines.

Wide Angle: First place – Eduardo Arribada

Scoring the second place spot, Víctor Núñez gets a Kraken Sports Hydra 3500 lumen light for a perfectly posed half-and-half mermaid in the Wide Angle category. The third place finisher is Ron Watkins for his moody scorpionfish on a sponge, who takes home a $250 gift certificate towards Saga Dive products. The judges also felt that David Antoja Mas deserved an honorable mention in the Wide Angle category for his cave-dwelling fish. David lands a copy of Secrets of the Seas by Alex Mustard and Callum Roberts.

Thank you for supporting Dive into the Pink! 100% of the proceeds from this effort will be used to support the fight against breast cancer.

Wide Angle: Second place – Víctor Núñez

Wide Angle: Third place – Ron Watkins

Wide Angle: Honorable Mention – David Antoja Mas
