I don’t think I had talked to anyone who had heard of Nauticam before DEMA, but they created quite a buzz because they were displaying a product that was both new and innovative. The WB-PORT is a petent pending white balancing device for dome ports. The product might not be ground breaking to everyone, as it seems to currently be geared to a niche crowd of filter shooters, but it's still very cool.
Also, the timing seems to be perfect as both Nikon and Canon now have SLR's on the market capable of shooting HD video, and this may be the perfect device for fisheye white-balancing while shooting video with your SLR. The ports will be available for Q1 of 2009 and they already have models that fit Nexus, Ikelite and Sea & Sea (which is perfect for the DPG team since Jason uses Sea & Sea, Keri shoots Ikelite and I just got my Nexus housing). More models will be manufactured as well.
